BEAUTY: MAC 'IN EXTREME DIMENSION 3D BLACK LASH' MASCARA

Being someone who has become mildly obsessed with having perfect eyelashes, I have recently gone through many false lashes on nights out, and even considered the currently very hyped about possibility of eyelash extensions. So, you can imagine my excitement when I find a mascara that allows me to achieve long black false lash effect eyelashes without the hassle of glue, falling out eyelashes, or the extra cost each time.

Today's beauty post is all about this MAC mascara - it is pure brilliance. Its formula allows you to volumize, lengthen, and curl your lashes all in one go with just one coat. Just note that, I would suggest that you don't apply any more than two coats of this mascara because it can cause your lashes to look a little heavy and clumpy - not good! Mascara is one product that I really do believe in investing in. There are so many cheap rubbish versions on the market so if you're passionate about makeup and the products you use, I do feel that the more expensive products do mostly achieve better results. This mascara costs £19 which isn't too bad considering it is MAC. As you can see from the picture below, the brush is fairly large, therefore, it would perhaps be tricky for a beginner. However, I find that the wand itself is a great shape for application and easy to hold.

I was using Benefit's Roller Lash mascara before it unfortunately dried up causing me to branch out to investing in this one. I would say that they are both wonderful, and I highly recommend either to anyone looking for a new mascara. I personally would suggest that someone new to applying makeup would probably prefer the Roller Lash mascara, however anyone who loves their false lashes should definitely check this MAC mascara out!

BEAUTY: NEW YEAR NARS HAUL & REVIEW...

If you're a fan of a bronzed glow, you will absolutely love this face set.
  • FULL SIZE 'HOT SAND' ILLUMINATOR -  As the only full size piece in the set, this shimmering illuminator, described as "peach-champagne" in shade, has become one of the few 'warm' toned highlighting products I have come in contact with. By taking the 'warm' glow approach, I find that my face is given more of a natural glow. In my opinion, this product makes my skin appear less 'chalky' than some 'colder' toned highlighting products would, and therefore seemingly healthier. In terms of texture, it comes in a lightweight liquid form - making it incredibly easy to apply without the requirement of any makeup tools. However, I personally do like to use a beauty blender style makeup sponge to apply and help blend liquid products to my face. A little definitely goes a long way with this illuminator, so there is no need to go crazy. I like to just dot it on the tops of my cheekbones, eyebrow bones, the inner corners of my eyes, centre of my forehead, down my nose, my cupids bow, and a little dab on my chin too. Of course I then blend, blend, blend! I do know some people mix it with their foundation then apply it, however, I personally just find this too much for my skin type. I also use it as my little secret to making my collarbones have a little sparkle - particularly on a night out!
  • MINI 'SOUTH BEACH' MULTIPLE - Described as "light, shimmering apricot" by NARS, this piece is another iconic product. It can be used to add contour or highlight to a skin tone - which is impressive in itself! The multi-purpose stick is mostly for use on your eyes, cheeks, lips, and body. This product is one that you can apply with your fingers and is perfectly blend-able and mistake proof. The pigments of the multiples are gorgeous, and different colours can be used in different areas. I like to use 'south beach' as a bronzing product, so I tend to add it to the contour on my cheeks & on my body in places I wish to contour a little or add a slight definition (i.e. collarbones). Honestly, this is not a product involved in my everyday make up routine: much like the illuminator, I often only wear them on special occasions when I wish to put in more effort than usual and make myself a bit more made up. However, it could easily fit into an everyday routine, if you wanted. At £26 full size, I would probably say try the mini size first and see how you feel about it, unless you're genuinely so sure you need it in your life because it is quite an investment. BUY FULL SIZE
  • MINI LARGER THAN LIFE LIP GLOSS IN SHADE 'GOLD DIGGER' - Probably my favourite of all three products - this high shine gloss will get your lips the attention they deserve. Described as a "sparkling peach shimmer", it definitely lives up to the claim. I am not a huge wearer of glosses at the moment, however some days I just feel like I need a boost on the sparkle and this gives me just that. When you first apply, you may find it feeling quite thick and tacky, but once it settles and you get used to it you'll probably be finding yourself not minding at all. The shine on this product is genuinely brilliant, and I would definitely recommend.

This 5* iconic product is one that I am actually repurchasing since I have run out of my original. I can't explain to you how wonderful this blush is, and like many, I am a huge fan. I believe this may be the most popular NARS product? If it isn't, then it is definitely my favourite and incredibly popular with myself regardless. The shade can be described as a "peachy pink with a golden shimmer" - it is a stunning shade and completely saves me on many occasions from looking washed out. As a blusher, I use it on the apples of my cheeks to give me that healthy looking colour and glow.  I 100% recommend to anyone who is in need of a good blusher that doesn't mind investing.

I'll admit, I was slightly bias to this product because of its name - which is normally a complete dick move and works out badly, however I genuinely think this duo is beautiful. The shades are very subtle so they wouldn't be good for someone who loves dramatic eye makeup; but for use in an everyday makeup routine, they are simply gorgeous. I use the lighter shade all over my eyelid, and the darker I apply in the crease of my eyelid for more definition. These are natural eyeshadows, so they do blend in well to a skin tone such as my own, yet are also noticeable and not completely pointless.

COBALT BLUE...

Just a quick little post to share the link of my cobalt blue dress (as seen on my Instagram) with you!
Bandage bodycon dresses are my absolute favourite, so I was guaranteed to love this one. I am also pretty impressed with myself that I managed to wear a dress on a night out that wasn't black for once!

THE £2.50 KIKO MANI-CURE...

It is no secret that I love painting my nails and I love having painted nails. I feel so bare without some sort of colour on my hands, so it is fair to say I have gone through a fair amount of different polishes. So far, no other brand has impressed me like KIKO has and here's why...

2015 IN OUTFITS...

It is absolutely crazy how much you can change in just the space of a year. In complete honesty, most of 2015 I shall be trying my hardest to forget. HOWEVER, how cool is it to think that I started this blog back in March and this is how far we have got so far!

Looking back at these images (and basically summing up my 2015 experiences in one) - some things worked out well,  and some didn't ...hah

Here's to my year in outfits (well, since it all began in March).

CHUNKY KNITS...

It is officially December, therefore so acceptable to whack out your big cosy jumpers and sing along to Christmas songs in front of the fire. Today's post is all about the chunky knit jumper. There are hundreds on the market, and once you find the perfect one you'll find yourself bringing it out every year. I bought this one from Zara last year, but it is still one of my winter favourites and I imagine it will be for a long while.

I have also found myself falling for bobble hats this season. I am usually dreadful at 'wrapping up' warm, so putting on a knitted hat like this one really does become an absolute saviour. It just happens to also be pretty on trend at the moment, so I do recommend investing in one...

SNAKES AND LADDERS...

Bodysuits are a huge love of mine when it comes to dressing - they can be dressed up or down and are most definitely a 'wear-with-anything' kinda layer.
This grey marl number comes from boohoo.com and creates such a sleek silhouette look whilst hugging your figure. I am also completely loving the cheeky ladder detail on either side and spaghetti straps.

SKIRT & TIE...

I am not at all usually one for skirts, I literally own about three. However, as soon as I came across this midi in the Topshop sale whilst visiting Oxford Street, I fell head over heels. I have partnered this look with my favourite black wrap blouse from boohoo.com which in my opinion, is an absolute must have. As the colder weather is setting in, my dark coloured clothing is also making a complete comeback so heads up for the outfit posts in the coming weeks...

FAUX FUR AND LYLA LOVES...

As the Autumn season swiftly sets in, I am finding myself fleeing to fur covered garments like a bee around a honey pot. Fur gilets/waistcoats are an absolute fashion must-have this A/W and I am absolutely loving this one that I purchased recently from Zara. Partner it with a basic long sleeve top, and a pair of black skinnys and you'll have an OOTD that is perfect for our current, very autumnal weather.

I wore this outfit to the photoshoot with Lyla Loves that I took part in the other week. I am honoured to be this month's Lyla model and all the jewellery featured in this post can be found on the Lyla Loves website or will be available to buy very soon!

IN LOVE WITH TRIANGL...

1. SO COMFORTABLE
Imagine a stretchy, yet comfortable and well fitting piece of the coolest neoprene material - its perfect.

2. BRIGHT AND BOLD
The designs are absolutely stunning. I can usually be pretty picky with bright colours and patterns, especially on beachwear; but these are gorgeous! Some of the colours may be seen as pretty brave, but why not? If you like it, do it. I never usually wear orange either, but not even going to lie this bikini has been grabbing my eye for years. Triangl bikini's are pretty special, and what I view as luxury so why not get the one you want, even if its not something you would normally go for.

3. NEOPRENE
I have nothing to say about this material, other than it is GLORIOUS.

4. SUCH A GOOD FIT
There is always the fear of losing your bottoms when jumping into a pool of water right? Well, that fear is safely eliminated here *dancing diva emoji*

5. TRIANGL GIRLS HELP
If you're buying online, I definitely recommend communicating with the help chat available. It is really important to get the Triangl girls' advice on sizing because it can be so tricky judging on your own!

6. PACKAGING
Mine came in a gorgeous orange bag, which is still stays safely inside when it isn't being worn. It keeps it in good condition and is so handy to have when you don't want to put your wet bikini back into your bag.

VERDICT: ABSOLUTELY & DEFINITELY WORTH THE HYPE.

I cannot wait to wear this little gem on holiday next month!

*Please note that although Triangl kindly gifted me this bikini, this post has not been sponsored and these are my own genuine opinions*

WHERE AM I?

Hello my lovelies,

I'm so sorry that I have been quite distant in the last couple of weeks - it's not you, it's me. I've just been so hectic what with going back to University. Anyone who is a student and also a blogger will tell you how hard it is to organise and split your time between both.
However, I am hoping to get a few outfit posts shot and posted in the next few weeks so do keep an eye out for those. I hope you're missing me as much as I miss you all.

Remember to give my Twitter a follow if you wanna see what I'm up to most days. @evieroselane_

Much love,
