SUNNIES & THE SLEEVELESS TRENCH.
I have been after a lightweight coat that is suitable for the always unpredictable British 'summer' weather, and recently I came across this gorgeous one from Missguided. It is the perfect little trench to style on those sunny yet windy days. Personally, I love to wear this chic item with a long sleeved plain crop top or tee, some comfortable high waisted Topshop jeans, and casual Converse. However, this sleeveless trench coat can be styled in so many ways and can easily be added in to any outfit to add additional layers - which is what I love about it!

'NICE HAIR' & KNEE HIGHS
So this week's outfit blog post is mainly centred on the 'Nice Hair' raw-edged sweater that I purchased from Missguided a little while ago. I wanted to keep the look fairly simple, however I also wanted to show off these gorgeous over-the-knee black boots that having been hiding away in my room for far too long (...a couple of months).
I partnered the look with my trustee high waisted black Topshop Joni jeans, and a winged eyeliner and nude lip driven makeup look.

MONOCHROME, LACE, AND SOPHISTICATION
If you follow my Instagram, you may already recognise this outfit - I wore it out a couple of weeks ago for my flatmate's birthday meal out. I wanted to wear something that was classy yet still young and fun. This outfit, particularly the lace insert Topshop skirt number, got a great response on Instagram, therefore I thought I would write and post a full blog post on it this week (ta-dah!).
When putting this outfit together, I knew what look I wanted to go for and definitely knew that I wanted the skirt to be the main structured centrepiece. I absolutely adore the lace detailing on this skirt and how figure hugging it is. I feel like the lace adds a subtle sexy vibe to the outfit yet it is still ladylike and sophisticated. The skirt is high waisted - which I also love, because I feel that high waisted clothing makes me feel more pulled in and less exposed in the lower tummy area. As the skirt was high waisted and knee length, it does cover up a proportion of the torso and legs: I partnered the skirt with a Topshop basic white cami crop top in order to break up the outfit a little and show a sneaky bit of skin. I went for a monochrome scheme instead of colour or an all black look because I love how the contrast compliments each other and I was worried that an all black look may wash me out completely. In terms of shoes, I went for these New Look black peep toe style heels. They aren't too high which was good for me because I feel that the height was just enough when going out for dinner or drinks. However, the outfit would still look equally as good with a pair of strappy high heels, such as some I have mentioned in the links below.
In basic terms, with my makeup, I decided on a simple winged eyeliner look for my eyes, partnered with a girly blush by NARS in shade 'Orgasm'. On my lips, I wore the Maybelline Colordrama lip pencil in shade 'Nude Perfection' which gave a matte pinky/peachy nude appearance.
I hope you liked this look, let me know your thoughts below. Also, if you're interested in buying the look for yourself, don't forget to have a look at some of the links to exact products I wore or similar items if products are unfortunately now sold out.
*If you can't find exact products or if they have sold out, don't be scared to search them on websites/apps such as eBay or Depop! Second hand is such a way forward, especially for students like me!*

MY TOP PICKS: CRUSHIN' ON ORANGE
Whenever I've been shopping recently, I have noticed a lot more orange in high street stores than usual. I have also noticed it being worn a lot more recently among celebrities, such as some of the Made In Chelsea stars. Admittedly, it is not a colour that is usually in my wardrobe, but I honestly feel like it is really coming back in this summer. It's a bold, bright, quirky colour that will definitely give you the spotlight if you do it right. I'm not suggesting that you go out head-to-toe in orange but a little accessory added to an otherwise basic outfit will add a pop of colour and jazz things up a lot. I have included a lot of accessory pieces in this little wishlist as I feel that is how I would personally most want to introduce a little orange into my own style. However, I've also included a River Island suit set that would look stunning with a white bralet or blouse and a chic pair of nude/gold/white heels.
Here are some of my favourite picks that I have come across today...♥
