l'été noir...

Despite last week's renowned English rain, it is officially British summertime! Being a lover of black clothing, I, like most, find it harder to pull off in sunshine. I also find shorts difficult to wear personally anyway, so I thought why not create a blog post that challenges these two worries of mine?

These shorts have become one of my favourite pieces now. They're able to be worn as smart-casual and are so comfortable and cool to wear, I've found no trouble. They fit in all the right places, and aren't hugging in the wrong places either - no bum cheeks spilling out here! The tie waist detailing is such a beautiful addition too, and possibly my favourite thing about them. This pair of shorts offer a great alternative to the denim shorts usually seen sported in summer. Bodysuits are also a love of mine at the moment. In this basic black, this halter neck piece slims the figure without offering too much distraction. You could also partner this bodysuit with a black choker like this sold by for a more edgy vibe!

With the shorts and bodysuit costing just £20 in total, this look is an absolute STEAL. This outfit offers cool relief for all black wearers, and won't break the bank either!

If you're anything like me, you'll love getting glammed up and going out with your friends. However, I always feel the struggle of owning too many LBDs and feeling repetitive in what I wear out. As the summer weather is upon us, I've attempted the branch out and introduce a little more colour into my night wardrobe. This rose pink coloured bodycon is perfect for any girlie girl who is normally a bit skeptical of wearing any colour too bright aka moi! Its bardot neckline is my favourite thing about this number, and what made it stand out to me initially. Despite it being very Sandy from Grease, if you haven't noticed bardot necklines have become a huge hit on the fashion scene at the moment. Baring shoulders and collarbones, this style is one of the most unexpectedly flattering styles going.

Have I convinced you yet?

If you're still unsure or would just like some more inspo, be sure to check out the previous '#POPULARPICKS' post on my blog for my own current high street fashion party in pink favourites!
