London Fashion Weekend AW15 ♥

This year I was lucky enough to attend Vodafone London Fashion Weekend at Somerset House, London. For those of you that are unsure of what this event is, LFW is run every year and it is a fantastic opportunity for designers and brands to showcase their work. As an attendee you can not only expect expert style advice and insider knowledge about the upcoming fashion trends, but also pop-up shops, designer shopping, catwalk shows, and hair and beauty talks by industry experts. As a silver ticket holder for the event, I had entry to the event, access to a catwalk show, and a designer tote bag filled with goodies from LFW sponsors. The designer tote bag was designed by well known British brand Pringle of Scotland, who are also celebrating their 200 year anniversary of being in the fashion industry next year. The bag itself was filled with items such as a Maybelline mascara, a gorgeous Essie nail polish, Label M sea salt spray, and more. After collecting my bag, I had the opportunity to browse around the pop-up shops, from brands such as Swatch, Sunglass Hut, Ukelele, and many more. However, the highlight of the day for me definitely had to be THE CATWALK.
The looks on the 12am catwalk for Saturday 28th February, were styled by popular fashion outlet, (for the third season running). The featured designers were: Amanda Wakeley, Fyodor Golan, Jean-Pierre Braganza, Pringle of Scotland, Markus Lupfer, Catherine Deane, Paper London, Rainbowwave, and Osman. The main trends highlighted in the show for the new season were: Hyper Florals; Shimmer & Shine; Make It Monochrome; and That Seventies Show. I will be making individual, more detailed posts about each of these areas in the upcoming weeks and showing you how to achieve some of the desired looks. Overall, it was a brilliant day, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend the event to anyone who has an interest in fashion, but be sure to get the ticket which includes the catwalk show as it is an experience not to be missed!...♥
